About the Role

Our client, a rapidly expanding global aviation services provider, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Remote Aviation Operations Manager to spearhead their operations management from any location. This is a fully remote role, demanding exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills. You will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing day-to-day aviation operations, ensuring seamless coordination between flight scheduling, ground operations, crew management, and regulatory compliance across multiple regions. The ideal candidate thrives in a remote work environment, possesses a deep understanding of aviation operational complexities, and can drive efficiency and excellence without direct physical oversight.

You will be the central point of contact for operational excellence, managing a distributed team and ensuring the smooth execution of all aviation activities.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate all aspects of global aviation operations, including flight planning, dispatch, crew rostering, and ground support. Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness. Ensure strict adherence to all relevant aviation regulations (e.g., ICAO, national aviation authorities). Monitor operational performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions. Lead and mentor a remote team of operations coordinators and support staff. Serve as the primary point of contact for operational queries from internal departments, clients, and regulatory bodies. Manage operational budgets and resources effectively. Utilize advanced flight tracking and operational management software to maintain real-time oversight.

Foster strong working relationships with flight crews, maintenance teams, and third-party service providers.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in aviation operations management, with a strong understanding of flight operations and logistics. Proven experience in leading and managing remote teams effectively. In-depth knowledge of international aviation regulations and operational best practices. Excellent strategic planning, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management abilities. Proficiency in aviation operations management software and GDS systems. Ability to manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, distributed environment. Strong analytical skills and experience with performance metrics reporting.
