About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Aviation Safety Manager to lead and enhance their safety management systems. This fully remote role offers the opportunity to shape safety policies and procedures across the organization from anywhere. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive safety programs, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with all relevant aviation safety regulations. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage the company's Safety Management System (SMS) in compliance with international aviation standards.
• Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and hazard analyses to identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Investigate safety incidents and accidents, determine root causes, and develop corrective and preventive actions.
• Promote a positive safety culture through training, communication, and engagement initiatives across all departments.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities to ensure ongoing compliance and stay abreast of evolving safety legislation.
• Prepare and present regular safety performance reports to senior management and relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in aviation safety management, with a strong understanding of SMS principles.
• Relevant degree in Aviation Management, Safety Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven track record in developing and implementing successful safety programs in an aviation context.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities, essential for a remote role.
