About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and highly analytical Remote Aviation Safety Investigator to join their dedicated safety team. This role is crucial for proactively identifying and investigating aviation safety events, determining root causes, and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Working entirely remotely, you will leverage your deep understanding of aviation operations, safety management systems, and investigative techniques to enhance the overall safety performance of the organization. The ideal candidate is meticulous, objective, and possesses excellent communication skills, capable of conducting thorough investigations and presenting findings clearly from anywhere in the world.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough and objective investigations into aviation incidents, accidents, and occurrences.
• Gather and analyze evidence, including witness statements, flight data, maintenance records, and operational procedures.
• Determine root causes and contributing factors, applying established investigative methodologies.
• Develop comprehensive investigation reports, including findings, conclusions, and actionable safety recommendations.
• Collaborate with regulatory authorities, internal departments, and external experts as needed during investigations.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity throughout the investigative process.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Engineering, Safety Science, or a related field.
• Extensive experience (e.g., 7+ years) in aviation safety investigation, incident analysis, or safety management.
• Strong knowledge of ICAO Annex 13, aviation regulations, and safety management systems (SMS).
• Proven ability to conduct complex investigations, analyze data, and write detailed reports.
• Excellent interviewing, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage workload effectively in a remote environment.
