About the Role

Our client, a prominent aviation consultancy, is seeking a proactive and diligent Remote Aviation Safety Compliance Officer , ideally accessible from Pretoria , to join their expanding team. This role is critical for ensuring adherence to national and international aviation safety regulations across various client operations. You will be responsible for conducting audits, developing safety management systems, and advising clients on best practices to maintain the highest safety standards. As a fully remote position, you will have the autonomy to manage your workload and contribute to aviation safety globally from your chosen location.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct internal and external audits to assess compliance with aviation safety regulations (e.g., SACAA, EASA, FAA).
• Develop, implement, and maintain Safety Management Systems (SMS) for clients.
• Investigate safety incidents and occurrences, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
• Prepare detailed compliance reports and present findings to senior management and regulatory bodies.
• Provide training and guidance to client personnel on aviation safety protocols and procedures.

Requirements

• A relevant degree in Aviation Management, Safety, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in aviation safety, compliance, or regulatory affairs.
• In-depth knowledge of aviation safety regulations and SMS principles.
• Experience in conducting audits and risk assessments.
• Strong analytical, report-writing, and communication skills, with excellent self-management capabilities for remote work.
