Qualifications Up to two separate incidents involving violations of Federal Aviation regulations in the last five years. Valid state driver’s license. Fluency in English. No chemical dependency or drug abuse that could interfere with job performance. High school diploma or equivalent.
Medical Requirements Physically able to perform all duties with or without reasonable accommodation. Good distant vision in each eye; able to read printed materials the size of typewritten characters (glasses/contact lenses allowed). Ability to hear conversational voice (hearing aid permitted).
No physical condition that would cause a hazard to self or others when acting as a passenger in various aircraft. Specialized Experience, Training, and Certification Requirements At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FG‑7, FG‑9, FG‑11, or FG‑12 level.
Experience in maintenance and repair of airframes, power plants, and aircraft systems with responsibility for certifying airworthiness. Experience with aircraft of 12,500 pounds or less maximum certificated takeoff weight.
Work in a repair station, air carrier or airline repair facility, military repair facility, or local, state, or federal government agency. Aircraft maintenance work within the last three years. FAA Mechanic Certificate with airframe and power plant ratings.
FG‑7 level: duties such as a mechanic for a Part 145 operator with airframe and power plant ratings. FG‑9 level: assignments with familiar aircraft, facilities, and equipment, often as a lead mechanic for Part 121, 135, or 145 operators.
FG‑11 level: broad scope of responsibility, e.g., quality auditor for Part 121/135, general foreman, shift supervisor, or supervisory inspector for Part 91/91K/121/125/135/145 repair stations.
FG‑12 level: wide range of assignments or highly complex assignments, e.g., manager above general foreman/supervisory inspector for Part 121/135 operator or Part 145 repair station with airframe and/or power plant ratings. #J-18808-Ljbffr
