Das ist der Job
Our patented technology uses advanced optical sensing and data processing.
Darum lohnt es sich
Build and guide our prospective engineering team as we move from lab validation to flight testing. Benefits A decisive role in a high-impact aviation startup. Freedom to shape both the technology and the team.
Late Co-Founder & CTO - Aviation Systems and Optical Sensing Technology We are a seed-stage Swiss startup building a new kind of safety system for aviation. The aim is simple: make flights safer, reduce costs for airlines, and support more sustainable operations. We are moving from lab validation to our first prototypes.
To get there, we need a CTO with technical expertise who can drive our R&D efforts. We have started the incorporation process, and we have support from Innosuisse and Fongit. Responsibilities As CTO, you will lead all technical aspects of development — from concept to certification.
You will: Oversee system architecture, sensor integration, and testing. Lead prototype development in optics, mechanics, and data processing. Define safety and certification requirements with EASA/FAA and OEM partners. At this stage, you will work hands-on, side-by-side with the founders to bring the prototype to life.
Management skills are important, but at this stage you will have to do the hard work yourself. Requirements Solid optics expertise preferably with LiDAR experience. Degree in aerospace engineering, optics, or physics, ideally with experience in avionics or sensing systems.
Proven experience in hardware prototyping or productization of optical/mechanical systems. Practical mindset — comfortable working on both design and implementation. Based in Switzerland or open to relocation. Nice to have Understanding of certification processes (DO-160, DO-178, or equivalent).
Interest in system safety, atmospheric physics, or flight dynamics. Collaboration with a small, skilled group of engineers and researchers. The opportunity to bring a first-of-its-kind sensing system into commercial aviation. Equity participation plans #J-18808-Ljbffr
